John Lewis Fashion Design Studio
Graduate Design Placement: Menswear
Winner of graduate placement project in collaboration with London College of Fashion.
Designed, contributed to and presented AW2010 and SS2011 Menswear collections. All categories covered: Knitwear, Outerwear, Wovens, Jersey, Tailoring, Print, Sleepwear, Accessories. Responsibilities include:
Researching, presenting and interpreting trend and colour for ranges. Colour Palettes
Garment design across all categories.
Development of archive and original prints and graphics.
Creating accurate brief sheets and technical specs for suppliers.
Comparative shopping.
Extra work:
Created Illustrator library for Design Studio for more efficient used of CAD programs. Installed Pantone swatch libraries.
Colour matching, CAD specs and Denim swing-tickets for Joe Casely-Hayford for John Lewis SS2010 range.
Informal IT coaching for Design Studio and students on placement.
